Coach Allen Luton is originally a native of New York where he was first introduced to the game of soccer while living on Long Island before moving with his family to the Middle Georgia area. His youth soccer coaching experience dates back to 2004 with Athens United Soccer Association.
As a player, Luton was a standout for both Mount de Sales Academy and several of the earliest Macon Soccer Club select teams (then MGSA) before moving on to a successful college playing career. Luton earned a four-year soccer scholarship to Brewton-Parker College where he was a four-year starter who was named team captain from 1998-2000, won two conference championships, graduated as the school’s all-time leader in assists and minutes played, and was a Southeast Regional semifinal squad member.
Prior to his collegiate playing days, Luton excelled in high school as a midfielder at Mount de Sales where he won two GISA state championships (including the school’s first-ever state title in soccer). Individually, he was a first-team GISA All-State award-winner, as well as a Macon Telegraph All-Middle Georgia First Team honoree.
Currently, Luton holds a United States Soccer Federation D coaching license. He also has a master’s degree in education from Georgia College & State University, and a bachelor’s in political science.
