Rules for U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14
Ball Size
U-8 = Size 3 or 4
U-10 = Size 4
U-12 = Size 4
U-14 = Size 5
No of Players
U-8 = 5 (4 on the field and 1 goal keeper)
U-10 = 6 (5 on the field and 1 goal keeper)
U-12 = 6 (5 on the field and 1 goal keeper)
Offsides
U-8 – No offsides, but do not allow your players to campout at the opponents goal.
U-10 – No offsides, but do not allow your players to campout at the opponents goal.
U-12,14 – Yes offsides
Substitution – all 4 age groups = Free Subs (a team can substitute players on its own throw-ins,
any goal kick, any goal scored. Teams may not substitute on a corner kick or the other
teams throw-ins.)
Infractions – direct kicks awarded. (If you have questions about this, ask your referee)
Throw-Ins
U-8 – Repeat twice for foul throw
U-10 – Repeat twice for foul throw
U-12,14 – Possession change for foul throw
Length of Game
U-8 = 4-12 minute quarters
U-10 = 2-30 minute halves
U-12,14 = 2-30 minute halves
